It is notable in contest circles for being one of the winners that have quirky or nonsense lyrics. It went on to win the contest with 152 points and became a minor hit in Europe topping the Swiss and Norwegian charts. It is also noted for two other achievements: it was the first song to win out of the first position in the running order (a feat that would be accomplished twice more), and it was also the first winner under the 12-point scoring system that is still being used today.
