Guo Yi was the second and last Emperor of the Western Jin Dynasty. He was born to Guo Shuang and an unknown concubine. He was disliked by his father, who kept him locked in a palace. However, after the formation of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, a group of ministers assasinated Guo Shauang and made Guo Yi Emperor. Yi began a lengthy campaign to destroy Eastern Jin, but eventually, Guo Xong (son of Guo Fang) with the help of a number of Yi's disloyal ministers, overthrew Yi and executed him.
