He followed this with guest appearances on such shows as Simon & Simon, The Love Boat, Silk Stalkings (with Charlie Brill and Ben Vereen), Xena: Warrior Princess, Weird Science (with Andrew Prine), Renegade (starring Leonard Kelly-Young), Sliders, Baywatch, and Pacific Blue (with Richard Herd). He was also seen in the hit 1997 film Liar Liar, with Anne Haney, Eric Pierpoint, Don Keefer, Randy Oglesby, and Mitchell Ryan. Mayer died in Sherman Oaks, California, on 23 July 2011. He was 57 years old.[1]
