- Until the mid 20th century, armies of shoppers used hand baskets extensively in warfare; shoppers now call on the mighty strength of the Trolley, which now takes the place of the hand basket on the battlefield.
- The Trolley is a hidden vehicle in Crysis. It can be spawned from game file in the Crysis editor.
- The Trolley is Banjo's main form of transportation in Showdown Town. It was Banjo's second choice of vehicle, after Grunty chose the better one that L.O.G. created. - Trolley is a Stock Model which comes with Re-Volt. It is seen in the game as a super market cart or "shopping cart". The model is in "...\Re-Volt\cars rolley\" folder but is textured via it's own texture in the Supermarket 1 folder. It is by far the largest default car in the game.
- In some areas, a trolley track may be divided by a gap, such as a pit or lava. The tracks on either side of the gap curve upward. When the trolley reaches the gap, it will jump and pass over it. In Bomberman World, some trolley tracks have jumps that pass into holes in the wall, taking Bomberman to a different section of the map. Jumping gaps in a trolley may be necessary in order to complete a stage if the stage is divided into sections in this manner.

| - Every Toon in Toontown came out to see the ribbon cutting when the first Jolly Trolley came to Toontown Central. Unfortunately, it was Goofy who laid out the trolley tracks, so you never know quite where you'll wind up! Of course, you never need to "wind up" a Jolly Trolley - Invented by Gyro Gearloose, they run on laugh power, so they'll ride the rails as long as Toons keep laughing - which should be a long, long time!
