| - A Viceroy in the Galactic Union was the second-in-command of the executive branch; second to the Supreme Chancellor. The Viceroy alone held the power to break a tie in the Senate, but only if the votes in the Senate were equally split. Other than this, it is unknown exactly what his other duties were. It is known that if the chancellor was to die or be impeached, the Viceroy would take over as chancellor until the next election.
