The North American F-86 Sabre was the United States Air Force's first swept-wing jet fighter aircraft, designed to counter the Soviet MiG-15. Even though it went from new to outdated in about 10 years, it proved to be one of the most versatile planes ever built, dominating the skies during the Korean War.
