FAST FORWARD The scene of the assassination plot: - Ianu Drakkhen was set up on the ramparts to the East. - Jay and Kiri were traveling together in the crowd below. - Averine did the same, while seeking her fiance. - Zaus disguised as guard with help of party. (Averine seduced into alley, Jay hit x2, Kiri made sure he didn't die) - Zaus went to ramparts to the West. - Kiri noticed suspicious person and alerted party. - Many of party noticed crossbow guards in watchtowers were taken out. - Near end of King's speech, suspicious archer went for the shot. - Zaus and Kiri both reacted. - Zaus was able to get a shot off first. - It sailed across and hit the archer in the soldier just as they shot. - Kiri attempted to steam water to throw off arrow but didn't react quickly enough. - Just before the arrow reached the podium, there was a flash of blue light from the arrow then a blinding white light near the stage. - The king was hit, went down and was quickly taken away. - Several guards followed, the magicians quickly threw up visible protective barriers, particularly around the ambassadors. - People ran in panic. - Assassins begin to rapel from watchtowers. - Kiri throws a fireball at one, toppling it. - Guards go in to attack Jay and Kiri. - Kiri flips over the guards off of Jay's shoulders and examines the assassins, who are dead. (She noticed they were Hylian) - Jay intimidates the hell out of the guards, who run in fear. - Averine had found her fiance, but it didn't prove to do a lot. He had taken off when he was notified the shot was imminent. - Zaus began running across the ramparts to the assassin. - The assassin took off running on the roofs of the Residential District.
