He was born a around 25 BBY on Makeb, a world colonized during the Great Galactic War. Discovered by one of the agents of Palpatine in 19 BBY, when he was six, the future Emperor had the boy taken to Byss, his secretly discovered planet in the Deep Core, where Solusar was trained to use the Dark Side and also became a proficient lightsaber duelist. By the time he was seventeen, in 8 BBY, Palpatine had begun to use him to carry out "unofficial" missions for him, and operated as his de facto apprentice.
