John Sidney King (1876-1953) was a newspaper proprietor and local politician active in the Ealing area. Born in Uxbridge, King's father (John King) established the Uxbridge Gazette. J S King continued in the family business and was responsible for the establishment of the Ealing Gazette. He became chairman of King and Hutchings Limited following the amalgamation of the King family business with Hutchings in 1919. King retired to Bournemouth where he died aged 77.

J S King continued in the family business and was responsible for the establishment of the Ealing Gazette. He became chairman of King and Hutchings Limited following the amalgamation of the King family business with Hutchings in 1919. He was a long-serving Labour Party member of Ealing Borough Council, originally as a councillor for Hanwell South Ward, later for Manor Ward and finally as an alderman. He served as Mayor of Ealing for part of the 1919-20 term following the resignation of the sitting mayor following complaints about his conduct and language as chairman of the local war pensions tribunal. King retired to Bournemouth where he died aged 77.
