- The Clone Trooper is a minifigure based on one of the many soldiers of the same name from the Star Wars universe. Clone Troopers have appeared in a vast amount of different variations and have been playable characters in all of the LEGO Star Wars video games to date.
- The creation of the clone troopers on Kamino started with an act from the Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. Sifo-Dyas' goal was to create an army for the Republic in order to defend it, however he himself never saw the completion of this army as he was murdered by Count Dooku before it was even started. Dooku, under the name "Tyranus", oversaw the formation of this clone army from this point on and began searching for the proper candidate for the clones' template. Ultimately, it would be Jango Fett who was chosen and the clone army's creation had begun.

- Clone Troopers are the main infantry force of the Grand Army of the Republic, and the elite 501st Legion. Clone Troopers are armed with the powerful and accurate, but short ranged DC-15 Blaster Rifle to destroy the enemies of the Republic. In previous campaigns on Geonosis and planets like Bespin they were equipped with Phase I Clone Armor, but have more recently upgraded to the Phase II Armor.
