Since then, Amber had her first singing lesson at the age of 17, and she thinks that she's achieved more than she had ever dreamt possible. In an interview to Ramona Portelli here, she stated: “First of all I think taking part in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest was just a dream come true and it gave me that push, to become recognised through media. It’s an indescribable experience, ever since I was young I’ve thought that this contest has been the biggest event one can participate in, especially being a singer. Meeting all other established singers and working with them was just great, and the whole process of spending so much time with your team, all striving for the same aim, is just incredible. It is an experience that every singer wishes to have and I am very lucky to have done so. Another experience that I surely would never forget and one of the greatest honours was singing with Joseph Calleja during his concert last year, he is such an inspiration. It was an honour for me to perform alongside the best of the best in this industry. This year I also had the opportunity to travel to Tanzania as a chosen personality. To be part of such an experience and adventure was another dream come through, it made a huge impact on my life, and I also know that it left a great impact on our lovely Maltese families that followed the experience with us, and I would like to thank them for their help and big hearts! There are a lot of other experiences related to the media, and every single one of them leaves a memory and something special within your career”.
