It's a pair of bio-hazard claws which are capable to infect humans into mutants. They are the most common melee weapon to be seen in mutation mode & variants since Dread are a default mutant character in many CF servers. The claws consist of two hazardous long nails. The knives' design is somewhat cybernetic, with "GHOST MODE - DK1" is written on it. Both palm-hand area glow green blue, including the nails which leaves a scratching trail that glows the same color when the Dread scratch it on solid obstacles (walls, doors, floors, etc).

The Nano Knife's range attack is somewhat short, but fairly fast attacking speed. While executing a primary attack, the Dread will swing both claws diagonally, starting from swinging its right hand and then followed by the left hand if the default LMB button keeps pressed. The primary attack is commonly used to simply infect players to turn them into one of the mutants. When executing a secondary attack, it will swing both claws simultaneously, which gives more damage compared to the primary attack. This second type attack is commonly used to take out enemies with higher health (who can't be infected in common) such as Commando and Ranger.
