House Antilles was a New Alderaninan aristocratic house that descended from the original House of Antilles from the planet Alderaan that was destroyed in 0 BBY by the Galactic Empire. After the destruction of Alderaan, as with all surviving Alderaninans, the members of the Antilles family were displaced which resulted in it taking over a year for the House to be restored, to be recognized. The only surviving, and youngest, son of the late Duke of Antilles reformed the House in the family's estate on Coruscant. Though the new head of the house was entitled to the family title 'Duke of Antilles', it was meaningless with out Alderaan or the Duchy of Antilles, so it was decided the 'of' would be dropped, from both the title and the name of the House.

Centuries later when New Alderaan was settled, House Antilles received new estates in the Duchy of Aragon, and the title Duke of Aragon. Over the centuries the House remained loyal with the dominant galactic government, usually along the lines of the holder of Coruscant, and the allegiance of New Alderaan. In 201 ABY Morie Antilles became Chancellor of the Galactic Systems Confederation, and in 233 ABY his son Jett Antilles became Chancellor.
