Zigzagiceratinae is a subfamily of late middle Jurassic ammonites named by Buckman, 1920, included in the Perisphinctidae. Shells sub involute, whorls srongly overlapping, to subevolute, whorls mostly exposed. Includes Zigzagiceras, Homoeoplanulites, Indosphinctes, and Procerites, which differ in coiling and the nature of their ribbing.
