Synopsis
| - Oliver accuses Mr. Dunston of orchestrating the whole ordeal, noting that the cane he had found was laced with LSD, which had caused Alec Hawthorne's death. Dunston angrily confesses that he expected to be left without any money from Hawthorne's will, knowing that all was left to Rowan. As he becomes more agitated, a dog that Rowan has befriended attacks Dunston, knocking him into a large runic stone, which collapses and crushes him.
- When Oliver comes to, he realizes that he had actually been hit by a car, and Rowan appears, helping him to his feet. She determines that Oliver has been drugged, judging by the fact that his pupils are abnormally dilated. They travel deeper into the forest where they are accosted by Dunston and several local hunters.
- Oliver Queen investigates the Hawthorne Estate, in Nottingham, England, where he finds the late Alec Hawthorne's cane. As he investigates an indoor garden, he is surprised by the appearance of the man who hired him, Geoffrey Dunston, who is also the Hawthorne family lawyer. Oliver reveals that Rowan Hawthorne, who has gone missing, has visited the garden frequently, noting that all of the plants within it are apothecary ingredients for healing.
- Oliver dons his Green Arrow costume and tracks Rowan through the Sherwood Forest. Suddenly, he hears a voice which seems to hear his thoughts. The voice claims to be the spirit of the forest, awakened by Rowan. Following the encounter, Oliver experiences a strange fantasy world of castles and dragons. A dragon attacks him.
- The hunters reconcile with Rowan, while Oliver fires an arrow deep into the forest. When asked why he did it, he says it is his way of saying thank you. The arrow lands at the feet of the spirit of the forest.
