- "Fire Escape" is the twentieth episode of Mickey Mouse.
- After the player clicks 1 Player Game, the game begins with Flaky holding an umbrella. She is between a building on fire and a waiting ambulance. The player has to use their mouse to control Flaky left and right. Her umbrella acts as a trampoline, which bounces the falling victims. The falling victims have to be bounced into the ambulance for points. If a victim falls to the ground, he or she will splatter. The game ends when three victims are dropped. While the game looks simple at first, one victim will soon appear right after another as the player progresses, increasing the difficulty.
- In Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, the fire escapes are always made of metal, except for one case in a mission where the escape is made of wood. Most fire escapes are missing the bottom set of stairs so the player has to jump off of the side of the fire escape to get completely down to street level. Sometimes the player can get to a fire escape by going off a ramp and landing on the fire escape stairs painfully.

- The Overlook Hotel in Los Angeles, California has been taken over by men attacking Scott Monroe and Isao Sato. The two of them head down to Sato's personal suite to meet up with Sato's daughter (and Scott's fiancee) Miyu. Along the way, they find a sword. Sato gives Scott a crash-course lesson in sword fighting. Because of all the sword-wielding enemies they come across, Sato figures they are being attacked by members of the Yakuza, a Japanese crime syndicate.
- As did all Kangs, Fire Escape joined in competitive games against the other Kang factions. They based themselves in a brainquarters where they lived and operated from. When the Seventh Doctor arrived in Paradise Towers, Fire Escape and Bin Liner greeted him with the typical Kang customs. However, they were hostile towards Melanie Bush as they were uncertain of her allegiance. They took both of them captive and tried to take them back to the brainquarters, but were forced to flee after the caretakers launched a raid on the Fountain of Happiness Square.

- Fire escapes were first invented by a satanic cult of assassins, named The Fiery Purple Matchsticks, as a revolutionary new way to protect their beloved fire. The first concept was produced by Christopher Robin, who joined the cult after burning down the hundred acre wood after what he described as “an accident involving dead hookers, some gas cylinders and a quirky packet of matches”.
