- Riccardo "Richard, Bibi" Torriani (October 1, 1911 - September 3, 1988) was a legendary Swiss hockey player during the inter-war period. He played for the Swiss National Team at 11 major tournaments over a 20 year span - from 1928 to 1948. Torriani was undoubtedly the best Swiss player of his time, and his prime, he was among the top players in Europe. Together with Pic and Hans Cattini, Torriani formed a fearsome line both on HC Davos and the national team. His brother, Bar Torriani, was also a member of the national team. He was post posthumously inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1997.

He played for the Swiss National Team at 11 major tournaments over a 20 year span - from 1928 to 1948. He won two bronze medals with Switzerland at the Olympic Games, both in St. Moritz (1928, 1948) and also claimed four medals at the World Championships and European gold in 1939. Torriani took the Olympic oath at the 1948 Winter Olympics. He also participated at the 1936 Winter Olympics, where Switzerland won one and lost two games in the first round and did not advance. Torriani was undoubtedly the best Swiss player of his time, and his prime, he was among the top players in Europe. Together with Pic and Hans Cattini, Torriani formed a fearsome line both on HC Davos and the national team. His brother, Bar Torriani, was also a member of the national team. He spent most of his club career with Davos. After a stint with EHC St. Moritz from 1927-1929, Torriani was a member of the Davos club until 1951. In 111 official games played with the Swiss national team, Torriani scored 105 goals. he later served as the team's head coach at the 1950 World Championship. In the 1950s, Torriani competed in luge, winning the silver medal in the men's singles event at the 1957 FIL World Championships in Davos. He was post posthumously inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1997.
