Eimear Quinn is an Irish singer who first came to public attention in 1995 when she joined the choir Anúna, who were best associated with Riverdance from 1994 to 1996. During this time she recorded two albums and toured Spain, France and the UK. While performing with the choir in St. Patrick's Catherdral in Dublin at Christmas 1995 she caught the attention of songwriter Brendan Graham who selected her to sing his composition "The Voice" at the national Eurosong Contest. She was chosen to represent the country at the 1996 Contest in Oslo and gave the country its record seventh victory.
