Spiked Beetles, also known as Tozegos, are recurring enemies in the Legend of Zelda series. They are hard, spiky-shelled creatures that must be knocked on their backs to be defeated. This can easily be achieved with Link's shield; when they come in contact with Link's shield while he is defending, they are knocked over for a short while. They roam around in random patterns, but once they spot Link, they spin violently towards him, hoping to catch him with their spiky shell. They resemble Spinies of the Mario series.
