| - BikiniAToll is the atoll.above Bikini.Bottom. It was formed in the Great Coral Massacre of 541 BC.
- The Bikini Atoll was located in the Micronesian Islands of the Pacific Ocean. The island was a part of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. From 1946 to 1958, a series of nuclear bomb tests were held on the island. In 1988, Dirk Pitt suggested that the Vixen 03 was possibly carrying atomic materials for the tests being held on the island.
- Bikini Atoll is an idyllic South Pacific paradise filled with smokin' hot girls in skimpy swimsuits (hence the name). Prior to the explosion of twenty-three nucular weapons there between 1946 and 1958, it was a hotbed of Communist fish and seabirds. Afterwards, Senator Joseph McCarthy continued to assert that the cockroaches there were pinko bastards. This article is a stub. You can get a Tip of the Hat* from Stephen by adding only truthiness to it.*Tip of the Hat not guaranteed.
- Bikini Atoll consists of 23 islands surrounding a 229.4-square-mile (594.1 km2) lagoon. As part of the Pacific Proving Grounds it was the site of more than 20 nuclear weapons tests between 1946 and 1958.
- Bikini Atoll is probably most famous for two things. Trivially, the atoll gave its name to the popular bathing suit. More importantly, the U.S. conducted early post-war nuclear testing at Bikini between 1946 and 1958.
- The Baker Nuclear Test at Bikini Atoll on July 1946 was a shallow underwater explosion and part of Operation Crossroads. A 20-21 kiloton warhead was detonated in a lagoon which was approximately 200ft (61m) deep. The Castle Bravo blast was one of a serine using a new design utilizing a dry fuel type thermonuclear hydrogen bomb. It was detonated at dawn on March 1, 1954. As it exploded, it burnt up the Japanese fishing boat Daigo Fukuryƫ Maru, serverly injuring the crew!
