| - Yoshimura began his interest in dogfighting at a young age, and gets a young puppy from his father, the sumo wrestler Takika. The first fight he observed was the fight between his family's tosa and the tosa Unryū who was owned by the boy Anzai Nosuke. His family's tosa lost the fight and was almost killed. At first he thinks his puppy, named Chibi, is a tosa, but after the puppy was Unryū and was taken to the vet, he found out that his tosa dog is actually a wolf. He started training him for dogfights, using a weighted belt to improve Chibi's stamina and strength - it works so well that at one point, when it's removed, Chibi was able to comfortably support the weight of an obese adult man on his back. Eventually, Chibi grew so powerful that he was able to hold his own against an aggressive German Shepherd with the belt on, and then utterly defeat it the second Yoshimura gets the belt off. Impressed, Yoshimura renames his wolf Zero. After winning a street fight, Yoshimura's parents drive him out to the old man Furaya Kenichi. He trains after his advices and towards Furuya's other pupil Taki Takeru and his dog, Sagenta. After a while, Yoshimura enters a tournement with Zero. Because of Zero's strength, they win the first round which brings them much joy. They keep on participating and win almost everything they enter. But all those matches means nothing to them, what matters is to meet Anzai Nosuke again and defeat his dog, Unryū for good. When the day finally arrives, Zero is almost defeated, but in the end, the boy and his dog gets their revenge over Anzai Nosuke and Unryū.
