Decoy drones or jiggers as they are sometimes called, are small sensor jamming and confusing devices, ranging in size from a few centimeters across to several meters, depending on use and capability. they are primarily used by spacecraft to confuse enemy sensors and defeat weapons locks. After being jettisoned from a vessel, the decoy drones fly a preprogrammed trajectory and emit false sensor readings, in the hopes that the enemy weapons will pursue them instead of their intended target. These devices are normally fitted to fighter craft. most fighter borne models do not have sufficient capability to defeat shipboard sensor arrays, but are capable of easily confounding most torpedo guidance systems and tricorder sensors, although larger ship mounted models are capable of defeating some le
