Jean-Pierre Wimille (26 February 1908 – 28 January 1949) was a Grand Prix motor racing driver from France, and a member of the French Resistance during World War II. He was one of the most successful French racing drivers of the 1930s, winning races such as the French Grand Prix, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Pau Grand Prix. After the war, he picked up where he left off, winning a number of major races in 1946-48. Wimille was killed during practice for the 1949 Buenos Aires Grand Prix.
