Jōgū Uzumaki (上宮, Uzumaki Jōgū) is a survivor of the Uzumaki Clan from the Land of Whirlpools' massacre centuries ago. However, his survival was through the most unconventional manner thought of. Jōgū was a sealer far beyond his time, with prowess that matches up with the greatest of sealers in all history; his name being among them. Consequently, upon the massacre being initiated, Jōgū had, on top of the highest shrine that the Uzumaki Clan dedicated to their Gods, activated a certain seal which caused his very existence to be stabilized in an alternate dimension. However, things went awry as the seal became empowered by the residual chakra of the environment, leaving Jōgū to be unwillingly trapped for several years.
