- A category is a way of classifying pages into different groups. For example, you can put character pages into: Races; Human or Orc. Classes; Warrior or Mage. Or simply; Male or Female. Each category has it's own page showing all other Articles linked with this category. This is helpful when you need to find a specific page but don't know it's name, or when you want just simply 'look' at a group of Articles. Categories are essential to the upkeep of the Wiki, too, as they can assist in finding older or Stub articles, which makes it easier to update them.
- Categorizing or sorting work is an important step before beginning to assemble a portfolio. Since many artists and creatives work in multiple fields, mediums and styles, each with different objectives, it is important to categorize work so the viewer can discern which pieces are most relevant. Every time you upload/update videos, you have a choice of selectable categories, such as Music, Gaming, Comedy, Lifestyle (People & Blogs), Education, Entertainment, Sports, Autos & Vehicles, News & Politics and Pets & Animals. Each YouTuber has a different category for their channels. Most are related to People and Blogs (Vlogging), Gaming, Music, Comedy and Entertainment.
