  • A mess hall was a location on Federation and Klingon starships or starbases where crewmembers could relax and enjoy a meal or a quick snack in a social setting. It was also the place where officials, such as ambassadors of other worlds, were entertained. Gatherings were also held there. The person in charge of activities within the mess hall held the title of mess officer. (TAS: "The Terratin Incident")
  • The Mess Hall is a gameplay element in Fire Emblem Fates.
  • The Mess Hall is a location in Camp Campbell.
  • The Mess Hall is the most visited place on GAJ. It is the place where people come to just chill and chat about whatever they want to talk about. They are pretty much given free reign here, with the exception of the few rules in place.
  • The Mess Hall requires the Goblin Barracks to be built, and it's not a prerequisite for any other . It costs 1000 gold.
  • The mess hall is a location in the Mojave Wasteland. It's the diner for Sloan's quarry workers.
  • This was not without precedent: in 2266, Lt. (j.g.) Joe "Happy Smiling People" Tormollen got into a sweat about nothing and killed himself with a butter knife. Of course, this was a suicide and only one person died. And it happened in a redressed briefing room and not a mess hall. Actually, this doesen't apply at all. Sorry.
  • The mess hall is another barracks-like building inside Stalag 13. The mess hall is a combination kitchen and cafeteria. Food would be cooked inside the kitchen, and then would be served inside the part of the building that would serve as the dining area. Both the camp's guards and the prisoners would eat inside the mess hall.
  • Each one has a large buffet line with several main dishes, like salisbury steak, lemon chicken and roast beef, breakfast items such as hash browns, and an assortment of desserts, including pie and jello. The mess also serves theme meals such as Mexican. (SG1: "Urgo", "48 Hours", "Prophecy", "Arthur's Mantle") The mess is also frequently used for personal gatherings for SG team members who are waiting to embark on a mission or who are on downtime, awaiting their next orders.
  • The Mess Hall, also called the Refectory and the Commons Room, was a chamber aboard the JMC mining spaceship Red Dwarf, utilised for crew meetings or social functions.
  • The Mess Hall is where legionnaires eat their meals at Camp Jupiter. They sit on low couches while eating. Food is served by invisible servers. Campers are seated by cohort. Guests can sit were ever they want.
  • A Mess Hall is a room that provides food and drinks for soldiers. Most, if not all, UNSC ships have one. Rather than having on-board cooks, by the 2500s, most vessels have food dispensers instead; however, this results in a smaller choice of nourishment. A standard Halcyon-class light cruiser's Mess Hall is located near the Bridge and Armories.
  • A mess hall was a facility on starships and facilities where a person can relax and enjoy a meal in a social setting. On Intrepid-class starships, the mess hall is located on Deck 2, Section 18 and were equipped with four food replicators along the back wall where crewmembers could obtain their meals. In the case of the USS Voyager which became stranded in the Delta Quadrant, the replicators were removed and a space knocked through into the captain's personal dining room and a kitchen area was created where Neelix could cook "real" food to save the ship's power reserves. (VOY episodes: "Caretaker", "Phage", "The Cloud")
