Pass-throughs, also called shoulder dislocates, are an effective warmup that serve to prepare the shoulders for exercise and also increase flexibility in the shoulder joints. They are done by taking a wide grip on PVC or a wooden dowel and passing the dowel in an arc overhead from the front to the back (see video demo below). It's best to start with a wide grip and work your hands closer together until you can no longer do the movement without breaking form.
