  • In 2368, graviton pulses were used to attempt communication with the Crystalline Entity by the USS Enterprise-D. The Entity responded with its own graviton pulses, but an increased graviton pulse rate sent by Dr. Kila Marr ultimately shattered the Entity. (TNG: "Silicon Avatar" ) In 2369, a coherent graviton pulse was used to close the subspace rupture that was allowing solanogen-based lifeforms into "normal" space. (TNG: "Schisms" ) In an alternate timeline, Benjamin Sisko was hit by an energy discharge, which combined with a graviton pulse altered his temporal signature. (DS9: "The Visitor")
  • A graviton pulse consists of graviton particles in a tightly-focused concentration. In 2367, second officer Kari Eriksson and chief engineer Michael Greene modified the USS Prospect's navigational deflector to emit a graviton pulse to disperse tetryon particles from an anomaly based aboard the USS Artemis. It allowed the Prospect to beam back their away team being held hostage by the M'Tar. (Star Trek: The Prospect Chronicles: "Lady Lazarus")

(Star Trek: The Prospect Chronicles: "Lady Lazarus") In 2373, Captain Noah Wrightson modified Deep Space 4 systems to disrupt the Treaty Killers' warp drive for long enough to allow the USS Aotearoa to make an escape from the area. (Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions: "Repercussions")

(TNG: "Schisms" ) Also in 2369, a Gamma Quadrant artifact brought to Deep Space 9 by Vash began to emit graviton pulses that disrupted station systems. The space station was dragged towards the Bajoran wormhole by the gravity created by the pulses, and received minor damage. (DS9: "Q-Less") In an alternate timeline, Benjamin Sisko was hit by an energy discharge, which combined with a graviton pulse altered his temporal signature. (DS9: "The Visitor") In 2373, Arridor and Kol, two Ferengi marooned in the Delta Quadrant as a result of the unstable Barzan wormhole, used a graviton pulse to prevent USS Voyager from transporting them off their shuttle. Subsequently, the pulse caused a gravitational eddy from the wormhole to pull the shuttle in. (VOY: "False Profits") In 2375, a graviton pulse was used by a small Klingon fleet to disrupt the warp drives of several pursuing Jem'Hadar attack ships. (DS9: "Once More Unto the Breach")
