| - Following the Shattering, resources became scarce on Bara Magna. To prevent conflicts from arising between the competing tribes, several Glatorian--Tarix, Certavus, Ackar, and Vastus--came together to develop a system where tribes could claim resources by employing warriors to fight over them in arena battles. After many veterans spoke out against the system, Tarix wrote the Glatorian Creed, which explained the need for the system, and outlined the rules of combat. Upon arriving in Bara Magna, Tuma witnessed the system and forced the Rock Tribe to join it. The Skrall remained undefeated in battle for an entire year, and eventually abandoned the system on the order of Tuma, attacking the city of Atero. However, the system continued among the other tribes until Mata Nui arrived at Tesara with the declaration that the Bone Hunters had allied with the Skrall. The Glatorian agreed to end the Arena Match system, and instead united the villages against their common enemy.
