| Biography
| - Fritz Wilson is a former NASCAR driver from Denver, CO. He competed in twelve Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning four top-tens.
Wilson's debut came in 1959, when he competed in the Daytona Speedweeks festivites. Wilson was more than impressive in the Daytona 500 Qualifier event, starting 15th and following Bob Welborn all the way to the finish, being the runner-up by just half a carlength. But in the actual 500, Wilson struggled to 56th. In fact, he struggled a lot in the next few races, only running at the end of five of his final six races that year. Of those DNFs, Wilson only managed a pair of 24ths as a best finish. But in the one race during that stretch he was running, he recorded a solid 10th place run at Spartanburg.
Wilson's next four races came in the 1960 season, when Welborn again had a mixed season. He couldn't even make the Daytona 500 this go round, finishing 34th in the Qualifier event. But Wilson rebounded more than enough in the next two races, recording a pair of 4th place finishes at Phoenix and Hanford before ending the year with a 20th place crash at Sacramento.
Wilson's final career race had to wait until 1965, when he competed at Riverside. Starting 33rd in the field of forty-two, Wilson recorded a respectable 21st place finish despite a mid-race engine failure.
