Ebonie Smith (born Negra Candalaria-Smith, September 16, 1978, in Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican actress and composer of African and Dominican descent. Though better known as Jessica Jefferson on the CBS sitcom The Jeffersons, she played K.C. on Wake, Rattle & Roll. Smith has a fine arts degree in film production and in Chinese language and culture. She speaks Spanish and Mandarin Chinese as well as English. She composed music for Owning the Oasis, a 2008 video documentary short.
