Great black wyrm is a type of monster in ADOM. They are very fast and powerful late game opponents that are able to breathe a very strong spray of acid — highly damaging to both the PC and their inventory — and have a corresponding immunity to acid attacks. Like other elemental wyrms they can attack with glowing balls and confusion spells, can quickly heal themselves, always have a name, and drop a large pile of treasure when killed. One will be found in a vault of black dragons should the PC happen to find one. All great black wyrms are named; the list of possible names can be found here.
