| - The first version of the game was a closed beta made available to FilePlanet subscribers on July 15, 2008, and to other participants three days later. After two months, the closed beta ended on September 17, 2008 and the open beta version began a week later on September 24, 2008. After six weeks, the open beta concluded on October 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. PDT and was officially launched seven hours later at 6 p.m. the same day, along with the item mall. Since the official launch, the game receives regular content and performance updates in the form of patches. Cash Shop The game is one of many that uses a cash shop system to make profit, however these items are also obtainable ingame with regular gold as there are many players who put up their purchases onto the player driven market. Classic combat & TBS The game currently has two modes, one where the battling squads of heroes and mercenaries trade blows each turn without any map placement involved, however the characters may switch places with other characters within the 9 squares that they occupy. The second mode resembles final fantasy tactics which is called TBS where the characters take turns moving and attacking. PVP PVP or player versus player gameplay is encouraged within the game as regular scheduled tournaments with a wide variety of differences to attract players. Free league PVP In free league competition, players battle it out with other players who are ranked in the same division (not the same level) if your characters win a few times, you rise up in league rank EX: league 16 going up to league 15. This system maintains the balance as some players may be better equipped but not skilled and thus they cannot stay in the same league if they win all the time and thus they are moved up the league to battle people of the same chance of winning. Colesium The game encourages PVP in a way that it gives the opportunity even to those who are casual gamers and not so well equipped players can battle against the hardcore gamers on pretty much even playing field. In this mode, the characters are all given equal stats, meaning that if a level 50 player having a squad consisting of characters wearing low class equipment and having level 1-50 mercenaries will fight in the colesium as though they were maximum level mercenaries (140 +) while their equipment regardless of how powerful they are, no longer have as much impact compared to the free league. Titan Not only are the players encouraged to battle against each other, but they are encouraged to battle those players from other servers, similar to the colesium and free league matches, players can sign up to fight in the Titan server league matches. Spelltower In this mode, 50 players from different servers compete in a battle using the TBS system. Gambling The game consists of many different gambling systems built in, from opening loot boxes, to the cash shop, and even when crafting items, your luck will always be a factor as you almost always never know what you will get. The game even consists of a scheduled competition between NPC groups wherein everyone in the map can bet on which NPC group they think has a higher chance of winning.
