  • The Juliette Ranch was founded by Marcella Aems and two of her cousins from Belfield. The trio reclaimed a ranch house several miles outside of town and built a small corral behind then. They then lured wild Bighorners into their pens with fruits and grasses. They quickly domesticated the beasts and began milking the females and shaving the herd in the spring. They would find a demand for their products and quickly became upstanding members of the business community. Marcella would marry into a local trade family in 2234, and moved her husband onto the ranch. Now sporting the last name "Weninski," she would set up a small shop on her property, as well as conceive a child in 2240. It would prove to be a daughter, who would help her parents as soon as she could walk. Helen would grow and eventually take over the ranch in 2265 after her father died, and proved to be every bit the rancher as either parent. She isn't as social however, and has turned down most invitations into town, which hasn't seemed to slow traffic from merchants. The ranch is currently expanding its herd, with it expected to be finished in the spring of 2288.
