Ödön and Horváth are the gods of life. Ödön is a raven and resembles birth, whereas Horváth is an egg and resembles death. Their priesthood claims them to be gods of day and night as well, but priests of Morthr and Knuddl oppose them strongly, because their gods actually are the gods of day and night. After a phase of excessive religious dialogue, inquisitional burnings and general bloodshed a compromise was reached: Most priests agreed that Morthr and Knuddl are just functions of Ödön and Horvath, but have to be worshipped differently. Some priests disagreed and went into hiding.
