| - A Mitite is an enemy in Pikmin 2 for Nintendo GameCube and New Play Control for Wii. These monsters can't directly kill Pikmin. When a Pikmin walks near a Mitite, the Pikmin freaks out and runs away, sometimes to their death, due to hazards. Purple Pikmin are immune to the panic associated with Mitites. You can kill Mitites by throwing a Pikmin on it's back, and the mitite will drop some nectar or pellets. Olimar, Louie and President cannot kill Mitites in any way. These can be found in eggs, and can also dig out of the ground. These sprout one Pikmin when taken to an Onion, and are worth one poko when taken to the Ship.
- Mitites (タマゴムシ) are small, pink creatures with white shells and five legs, found in Pikmin 2. They cannot directly harm Pikmin, but can inadvertently cause them to be killed by causing the Pikmin to panic into a hazard. When stumbled upon, they appear in a swarm of ten, scuttling around, sending both themselves and any Pikmin they pass near into a panic. Any egg, both on the ground and from a Honeywisp, has a chance of containing Mitites, which means they can be found anywhere eggs are. These creatures also burrow up from under the ground in specific locations, such as Sublevel 10 of the Hole of Heroes; and are released from the bodies of some Raging Long Legs once defeated. Any Mitites that are not killed eventually burrow underground.

They are found in eggs on the ground and in Honeywisp eggs, underground in specific locations (such as sublevel 10 or Hole of Heroes), as well as in the bodies of some Raging Long Legs. Mitites can be found just about anywhere, it just depends on the chance that an egg will contain some. They will eventually burrow back unless killed. If you are trying to get Pokos, they are also somewhat efficient. The reason Mitites are found inside eggs is because they lay their eggs inside
- Mitites are small, pink mites with a white shell and five legs. Naturally they will swarm in groups of ten, scuttling about their local environment; however they seem to panic at the sight of another Mitite, leaving them in a constant state of swirling chaos. Although unknown as to why, they also send nearby Pikmin into a panic, likely due to their disliking of the species' pheromones. However, Purple Pikmin seem to be immune to this otherwise genus-wide fear. These creatures are edible, and may be flash-fried. Legs are generally removed before serving to avoid grossing out dinner guests.
