On the world's stage, all actors should have their own, un-coerced voice. Free speech should be the first inalienable human right. However, speech that incites social disorder should be limited. Just because a system is broken doesn't mean it can't be fixed; replacement isn't always the only option (but sometimes it is). | - On the world's stage, all actors should have their own, un-coerced voice. Free speech should be the first inalienable human right. However, speech that incites social disorder should be limited. Just because a system is broken doesn't mean it can't be fixed; replacement isn't always the only option (but sometimes it is). Specifically in regards to the Iranian president's statements, but more generally paraphrased: It is time for the world to boldly sound the clarion call of a new generation: No tolerance for intolerance. Any man or woman whose essential message is one of hatred or violence will be isolated, boycotted and closely monitored. The perversion of freedom of speech to allow incitement to violence makes a mockery of all those who laid their lives down to protect this most important of all freedom's principles.
