Boag portrayed the Traveling Salesman/Pecos Bill, a role he reprised when guest starring in episode 520 of The Muppet Show. Boag's other contributions to Disneyland included supplying the voice of Jose the parrot in The Enchanted Tiki Room attraction and making his trademark "Boagaloon" balloon animals (a craft he taught fellow Disneyland cast member and future Muppet Show guest Steve Martin). Boag also had small parts in such Disney films as The Absent-Minded Professor and The Love Bug. He is featured in The Guinness Book of World Records for being the longest running actor in The Golden Horseshoe Revue, the longest running show in the history of show business. Although Boag retired in 1982, he returned for occasional anniversary productions. Complete recordings of Boag's performances in The Golden Horseshoe Revue and The Enchanted Tiki Room are available on the 6-CD set A Musical History of Disneyland.
