"Vicarious" is the first track from progressive metal band Tool's 2006 album "10,000 Days" and is the final track in the Tool playlist of Guitar Hero: World Tour, following Parabola and Schism. The song is in 5/4 time for the majority of the song, and is notable as the longest song in the Tool section; Parabola is just over 6 minutes, Schism is almost 7, but Vicarious is just over 7 minutes. The odd time changes that suddenly occur within this and the other Tool songs can throw off a player that is trying to keep a beat. The end is very similar to Schism in manner; the last 15 seconds is a barrage of notes on the guitar and bass tracks and can either wipe out any FC left or prove a very exciting challenge.

Also during the song the background starts to flash frequently from red to green which can ruin your vision and concentration on the song. (The best thing to do is to squint and just watch the Highway.)
