The Hjakaza-class battleship was a battleship made by the Bregaro for use in the Imperial Navy of the Ingzan-Bregaran Empire. The class was an upgraded form of the ancient Sith Derriphan-class battleship, unlike the original Derriphan the Hjakaza-class had shields and a Class 2.0 hyperdrive as well as Turbolasers, replacing the not very accurate, yet powerful, Autoblasters found on the original Derriphan-class. This class entered service in 1,034 ABY and several members of this class were known to serve as flagships of small imperial fleets based out on the outskirts of the empire. From 1,035 ABY to 1,074 ABY a Hjakaza-class battleship called Hyaxnox Kerenalan Ezzoza 1 (Hyaxnox Colonial Force 1) served as the flagship of the Hyaxnox Colonial Force Fleet, the naval arm of the Hyaxnox Colonial Force, a militia of natives who helped there imperial masters keep order and control over the Hyaxnox system. The class was also noted for being "ugly", especially compared to the sleeker Star Destroyer-type ships made largely by the Ingza, for example the Kysa-class battleship and the V'ei'ka-class battleship. Because this class was slower and not as well armed as most other battleships used by the Imperial Navy, the Empire allowed the Hyaxnox Colonial Force native militia to use some Hjakaza-class to help the Imperial Navy patrol the Hyaxnox System, Imperial Navy captains were told keep a close eye on Hyaxnox-operated battleships in case they tried to start an uprising against Imperial rule. Hjakaza was Bregaran for Destruct. In the early 12th century ABY the House of Dezendyan made some of these ships for use by there navy and to sell to poorer planets, these were seen being used by the Dezendyan Navy in the Dezendyan-Vás Feud.
