- Some religious people condemn gays in public and practise it secretly, see Cardinal Keith O'Brien and Sexual Sin for one example and George Alan Rekers for another.
- Homosexuality is a natural sexual orientation where people are attracted to their own sex. Many Christian make people feel guilty about the way they are and make others despise homosexuals. The ex-gay movement consists of Christians and Christian organisations that claim to make gay people heterosexual. In practise this movement makes gay people dissatisfied with themselves (more dissatisfied with themselves than before) and less healthy. There is a good and a a bad side to Christianity, see

- Homosexuality carried not too much of a stigma in Rokugan. The only reason it might be considered bad was that it might make a samurai less loyal to his daimyo.
- Homosexuality refers to sexual behavior with or attraction to people of the same sex, or to a homosexual orientation. As a sexual orientation, homosexuality refers to "having sexual and romantic attraction primarily or exclusively to members of one’s own sex"; "it also refers to an individual’s sense of personal and social identity based on those attractions, behaviors expressing them, and membership in a community of others who share them."
