abstract
  • The Mark II Subspace Field Fabricator (or Mk II Subspace Field Fabricator or Mk II SSF Fabricator or MKIISFF) was a warp technology invented in 2389 for the Universe-class starship and then integrated into some other ships around that time. It formed tetryon field which reacted with subspace, forming a stable ellipsoid-shaped subspace field, which thereby lead to a more stable and "less subspace-turbulent" warp travel. It was also believed that with some ingenious manipulations, it could form a "synthetic subspace field" and travel through subspace-annihilated (post-omega), anti-tetryons concentrated, etc. regions with ease, although that easy would be limited to warp 4 at most.
