| - The Golden Smurf Award was an event that took place in the cartoon show episode "The Golden Smurf Award". It was an idea that Brainy came up with as a way for Smurfs to honor the Smurf with "the smurfiest contribution to the world of Smurf", with the overall intention that the Smurf presented with the award would be Brainy himself. The Smurfs who actively participated with their contributions as shown in the episode itself were Smurfette, Brainy, Handy, Vanity, Painter, Harmony, Greedy, Jokey, Tailor, and Farmer as they worked on their own contributions to be presented on the night when the Smurfs would cast their votes for the "smurfiest contribution". However, Brainy with his philosophy ended up convincing his fellow Smurfs who became his contestants that they would need a gimmick to have their contribution stand out from all the others, and so they appeared at the award ceremony with their contributions all gimmicked up.

* Vanity had a big stack of fruits in his fruit hat.
* Handy had a big Smurf head attached to his smurfberry picking machine.
* Harmony had a multiple-instrument machine.
* Painter had a portrait of himself.

* Greedy had a big Gargamel cake. On the night of the ceremony, after every Smurf had cast their votes, Brainy during the counting of the votes found out that every Smurf voted for themselves and thus there was a 98-way tie. However, this made the Smurfs realize that one of the 99 Smurfs left in the village (after Papa Smurf had left it earlier to visit Mother Nature) did not cast a vote, and it turned out to be Clumsy, who found it difficult to choose among his friends who had the "smurfiest contribution" to cast his vote for. In the end, Brainy decided as the Golden Smurf Award official to nominate himself as the winner, which made nobody happy. The Golden Smurf Award turned out to be Hogatha, who had transformed herself and her pet vulture into a golden statuette so that she would be able to infiltrate the village and capture the Smurfs for her beauty regimen. When Brainy went to the podium to present the award to himself on that night, the award transformed back into Hogatha and her vulture, who then proceeded to capture the Smurfs and then take them back to her castle. After Papa Smurf helped rescue his little Smurfs from Hogatha by sealing her inside a mud pack, Papa Smurf heard what had happened and denounced the whole idea of the Golden Smurf Award as being unsmurfy, saying that all his little Smurfs' contributions are of equal importance and cannot be compared to one another.
