Bonne nuit ma chérie was Germany's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1960 in London, performed by Wyn Hoop. The song is effectively a lullaby, with Hoop promising his lover that "my love will accompany you everywhere" and that "I'll never forget you" as she goes to sleep. The song was performed eleventh on the night, following the Netherlands' Rudi Carrell with "Wat een geluk" and preceding Italy's Renato Rascel with "Romantica". At the close of voting, it had received 11 points, placing fourth.
