- A Kell is a leader of the Fallen. Fallen Houses tend to collapse and turn against each other if the Kell falls, but nobles of Houses can rise to power and replace former Kells.[citation needed]
- Kell was a techno-mage and a member of The Circle. An adept in secrecy and misdirection, Kell's wisdom was the Wisdom of Wierden, as he could be traced back directly to her in the line of teachers and students, which he in turn passed to his apprentices Elizar and Razeel. Over the course of his long life Kell's accomplishments were legendary amongst the order, particularly the feeding of the drought victims of Viscus 4 and his great deception of the Drazi.
- Kell is a both a medium-sized city at the base of the mountain of the same name as well as the hidden city within the vast cavern near the peaks in the fictional Belgariad universe of David Eddings. It lies in the Dalasian province of Likandia. This mountain is reputed to be the highest in that world. Kell is the holy city of the Dals, where the seers, necromancers, and diviners dwell.
- Kell was a commander in the Satedan Military. He was one of the 300 Satedans who survived the Wraith attack on Sateda. When Ronon Dex heard that he was still alive, he arranged to see him through Teyla Emmagan. However, the second Ronon saw Kell, he killed him in cold blood. When Teyla noticed he used her friendship, Ronon explained that he left Sateda a coward by sending thousands of soldiers to the death to save himself and only regretted that his death was quick. Apparently even his own men agreed with Ronon's assessment of him as when Ronon told them they all knew what kind of a man he was and to kill him if they wanted revenge, they let him go.
