About: Mine dog   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

Mine dogs are dangerous enemies to unprepared adventurers. They have the gravity spell, which causes the gravity status effect to everyone in the area, negating float. More dangerously, they move around randomly laying mines that do a large amount of damage to whomever steps on them. The mines are invisible unless revealed with the detection skill and searching. The mines can be disarmed with the disarm trap skill by stepping on the mine (risking setting it off). The mine dog does not set off its own mines. They make dangerous pets, as their mines are still invisible and dangerous to you and your allies. Mine dogs often drop mines when slain; keep in mind that mines are heavy objects. (~9s).
