| - In 1990, as the the nation stepped up it's comitment to the first Gulf War, ABN1 beagan airing special news reports each night around 10:30pm to wrap up the day's developments. The special program was anchord by Tom Luckman and usually lasted well into the night if live news warrented it. Prior to being called Nightline, the bulletin was titled 'ABN News: The Gulf Crisis'. In 1991, as the war effort wound down, the program was re-named Nightline and bagan to cover more gneral news, with a focus on politics and world issues. Until 2005, the program featured a main anchor, and a news summary presenter who presented what was called ABN News at Night. This was ended in 2006 and now a single anchor reads the news and conducts interviews on the program. During it's boradcast, the program has been awarded many times and is often a reference point for polticians durung Congress' Question Time, as they debate commments made on the program. Anchors have included:

* Derrek Savville, with Jason Conners on news (1993-1995)
* Marcia Hinks, with Andrew Paul (1995) and Laura Xanthe (1996-1998) on news (1995-1998)
* Hugh Dallas-Pyne, with Justin D'Anesbury on news (1999-2004)
* Lisa Belaqua, with Jacob DeCorri on news (2004-2005)
* Lisa Belaqua (2006 - present)
