- Castiel is an angel and one of the the main protagonists who appeared in Supernatural. He is the best friend of Dean Winchester who he rescued after he was been sent to Hell and tortured there. He is played by Misha Collins, who also played Jacob in the science-fiction movie Stonehenge Apocalypse and Dylan in the series Ringer. In the seasons 4,5,7-10, he mostly serves as an one of the closest allies of the Winchester brothers.
- Castiel is an angel appearing in Luc Besson's Thy Kingdom Come portrayed by Christian Bale. He is the leader of the six dispatched angel disciples and the angel assigned to Accursed One Julian Scott.

Once Castiel learned that the angels wished to free Lucifer anyway, he defied his angelic brethren and died trying to help Dean prevent Sam Winchester from breaking the last seal.
