Bud Korchak was an award winning and all-star Canadian football player. He was nicknamed the "Golden Toe" and the "Ukrainian Gazelle". A native of Winnipeg, Korchak joined his hometown Blue Bombers in 1949. His best seasons as a receiver were 1951, with 34 catches for 491 yards and 1952, with 31 catches for 551 yards. He was league leading kicker, scoring 69 points in 1952 and 66 points in 1953, winning the Dave Dryburgh Memorial Trophy. He was an all-star these 3 seasons. In 1955 he joined the Montreal Alouettes and scored another 60 points. He finished his career with the Ottawa Rough Riders and Calgary Stampeders. He scored 334 total points.
