Kentō Hyūga is a Jōnin Commander ranking Shinobi hailing from his Clans hometown, Konohagakure. Although after 20 years working as a Ninja Kento had rebuilt a temple that resided within Konoha. It had a religion which most of Konoha had use to follow until the Second Ninja World War when the temple was destroyed as an act of violence. He had been practicing the religion of Taiji and sought to bring peace within Konoha and possibly throughout the Ninja war. Though he does admit that this isn't a solution to hatred seeing how there is no way to purge evil, so he accepts that some have a tainted Yin.

He had been practicing the religion of Taiji and sought to bring peace within Konoha and possibly throughout the Ninja war. Though he does admit that this isn't a solution to hatred seeing how there is no way to purge evil, so he accepts that some have a tainted Yin. Kento has made a name for himself in Konoha as the Priest. This is obviously due to the fact that he is the only Priest within Konoha. Most call him Sō (僧) which stands for Priest, seeing how he is one for the Temple of Taijin. Though others who had known him before the temple, they commonly called him Kyūōda (急殴打) which stands for Swift Strike, referencing his quick, but devastating, blows. Behind his ninja and priestly life lies a slightly dark secret. Within a secret location 1.8 m (~6 ft.) underneath the Temple of Taijin, Kento test some experiments whether it be with animals, chakra, materials, or even himself although those are quite rare. This is an example of how intelligent he is and has utilized it to solve some of Konoha’s problems with no one knowing it was him. He keeps it a secret because some of the experiments would most likely be looked down upon throughout the village.
